Jeremy Wood is an artist and map maker who founded GPS Drawing in 2000 as a method of digital mark making using his body as a geodetic pencil. He explores drawing and mapping as a means of expression as well as capturing all his daily movements for the last 14 years with GPS as a form of personal cartography, whether it’s over land, on water, or in the air. He has lectured and conducted numerous workshops in schools and universities to explore the educational possibilities of GPS drawing, and was featured in The New York Times’ 2003: Year in Ideas. His work has been exhibited internationally and is in private and public collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum and the London Transport Museum.
